After wrapping up minicamp, the Seattle Seahawks spent their Thursday night hanging out with Usher and receiving their Super Bowl championship rings.
The team colors are well represented in the fabulous Super Bowl rings awarded to the champions. Neon green tsavorite garnet and vivid blue sapphires pop against the colorless diamonds to make a jaw-dropping statement.
The design of the 14k white gold ring is a Seahawks logo with 65 pave set round brilliant diamonds encasing a neon-green tsavorite garnet "eye". The logo is set against a background of 87 pave set round diamonds and one, single larger marquise shaped diamond that represents the Lombardi Trophy football. Forty round channel set sapphires encircle the profile with one "12" flag, a symbol of the team's fans, who are credited with being the 12th man on the field. The ring's bezel is inscribed in capital lettters "WORLD CHAMPIONS" and is accented with 12 round diamonds, another ode to the "12th man".
Tiffany & Co. designed the masterpiece after consulting closely with top Seahawks management and owner Paul Allen.
A few of the other features of this detailed ring include the players name and number, the season record of 16-3, Mount Rainier with the 12th man flag waving over the Seahawks' stadium and the Vince Lombardi trophy set with another marquise shaped diamond. The bottom of the shank is notched with 12 feathers in the same style as the players uniforms.
The inside of the ring is inscribed with the slogan "Leave No Doubt 24/7", the same message printed on the teams t-shirts during the playoffs, along with the final score of the Super Bowl and "What's Next?", maybe a hint of what the team may deliver during the 2014-2015 season!
