Seattle Seahawks Diamond-Encrusted Super Bowl Rings

June 23, 2014

After wrapping up minicamp, the Seattle Seahawks spent their Thursday night hanging out with Usher and receiving their Super Bowl championship rings.

The team colors are well represented in the fabulous Super Bowl rings awarded to the champions.  Neon green tsavorite garnet and vivid blue sapphires pop against the colorless diamonds to make a jaw-dropping statement.

The design of the 14k white gold ring is a Seahawks logo with 65 pave set round brilliant diamonds encasing a neon-green tsavorite garnet "eye".  The logo is set against a background of 87 pave set round diamonds and one, single larger marquise shaped diamond that represents the Lombardi Trophy football.  Forty round channel set sapphires encircle the profile with one "12" flag, a symbol of the team's fans, who are credited with being the 12th man on the field.  The ring's bezel is inscribed in capital lettters "WORLD CHAMPIONS" and is accented with 12 round diamonds, another ode to the "12th man".

Tiffany & Co. designed the masterpiece after consulting closely with top Seahawks management and owner Paul Allen.

A few of the other features of this detailed ring include the players name and number, the season record of 16-3, Mount Rainier with the 12th man flag waving over the Seahawks' stadium and the Vince Lombardi trophy set with another marquise shaped diamond.  The bottom of the shank is notched with 12 feathers in the same style as the players uniforms.
The inside of the ring is inscribed with the slogan "Leave No Doubt 24/7", the same message printed on the teams t-shirts during the playoffs, along with the final score of the Super Bowl and "What's Next?", maybe a hint of what the team may deliver during the 2014-2015 season!

The Emerald Birthstone

May birthdays celebrate with the enchanting emerald gemstone. The emerald is elegant and popular for its richness in color.

The most cherished emeralds are transparent with evenly-displayed color throughout the stone. The emerald is a symbol of rebirth and is believed to bring foresight, good fortune and youth to all those who wear them.

The emerald derived its name from the word “smaragdus,” meaning green in Greek. Most emeralds today are mined in Colombia, Brazil, Afghanistan, and Zambia. The emerald is believed to alleviate emotional heaviness such as heartbreak and the misfortunes of life.

Charles Fine Jewelry has a large selection of birthstone jewelry. View some of our favorite emerald and green colored jewelry pieces below.

The Aquamarine Gemstone

The birthstone for March is aquamarine. The aquamarine is in the same family as the emerald, morganite and helidor stones. Its name is derived from Latin origin, “aqua” which means water and marina of the sea. The aquamarine gemstone is believed to endow the wearer with foresight, courage, and happiness. It is said to increase intelligence and make one youthful. This gemstone is a very clear, light blue color and is commonly associated with the sea because of its calming blue color tones.

There are many myths and legends about the aquamarine stone. The gemstone is a healing stone, to treat anxiety and during the Middle Ages it was used to reduce the effect of poisons. Sailors also wore the aquamarine gemstone to keep them safe and prevent seasickness.

Here are a few of our favorite aquamarine jewelry pieces from Charles Fine Jewelry.

Color Scheme
The first step to planning a wedding in the spring is to pick a color scheme that will set the tone and speak to this spring season. The first thoughts that come to mind when thinking of spring color palate are pastel pinks, yellows, blues, and mint greens paired with neutral champagnes.

Flowers
A major component of any wedding are its immaculate flower arrangements. Spring is the season that is blooming of wide varieties of bright colored florals we absolutely love from hydrangeas, lilies tulips, and many more.

Whimsical Centerpieces
Play up this theme by using whimsical centerpieces that match the season. Try using watering cans, rain boots, or large floral arrangements to add a stylish and flattering touch to each table.

Umbrellas
As the season of spring is known for its showers and sunshine, replace bridesmaids bouquets with perfect springtime umbrellas. Use a chic umbrella with lovely designs and colors. Match the colors to your wedding theme and add extra embellishments of butterflies and flowers to create that extra personalized flair.
